
Itianu Emiaj is a Mozambican author who’s inspiration derives from every day conversations and lived experiences of her family members, friends, her own and of women and men that she encountered in different contexts.
With her writing, she invites readers to engage in the conversations with the characters in the hopes that it will lead to compassion, understanding and respect of different views to build bridges and reduce the politization that often arises from the topics that she writes about such as marriage, motherhood, among others.
Her books include This body is not mine, How come you don’t cook?, Who’s going to take care of you when you are old?, I’m afraid of my protector and Who will save my brother.
